Dolores has enjoyed a distinguished banking career with various leadership positions of increasing responsibility in International, Commercial, Nonprofit and Community Development Banking & Lending at Chase Bank, formerly NBD Bank and retired as Vice President, Fifth Third Bank, Eastern Michigan.
Volunteer service and community is important to Dolores. She is actively involved in serving the nonprofit community where she serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including: The Children’s Center, Board Treasurer, Detroit Development Fund (Board Chairman), Great Lakes Women’s Business Council Certification Board and Pearls of Promise Foundation Past Treasurer. Sturdivant enjoys an appointment as a state volunteer for AARP Michigan.
Dolores has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Michigan Chronicle’s Women of Excellence Award and 70 over Seventy - Next Chapter Award for Entrepreneurship from the Hannan Center, Detroit. Her educational experience includes earning a Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State University, Master of Business Administration from University of Detroit Mercy and a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Development from Lawrence Technological University. Dolores is a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXIII and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® .
Dolores is a proud resident of Detroit, mother of 2 sons and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
