Currently, Mr. Ronald C. Frederick is employed with the City of Detroit under the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Financial Planning & Analysis Division. His position focuses on financial and operational planning and analysis, which includes strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and detailed financial analysis. Mr. Frederick performs primarily three major functions that concentrate on financial planning & analysis, cost studies & alternative analysis, and ad hoc analysis for the City of Detroit.
Prior positions held by Mr. Frederick include President and Managing Director of Frederick & Associates, Inc. (F&A). F&A a company that offered strategic business consulting, government contracting assistance, and access to capital for businesses. The Executive Director of the Michigan Statewide Minority Business Development Center (under the U.S. Department of Commerce). His expertise was comprised of business plans, loan packages, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. As the Director of Business Development at New Detroit, Inc.; he was in charge of economic development planning of various communities in the City of Detroit, and providing community organizations with grant funding. Also, Mr. Frederick has worked for major corporations such as DTE Energy and the General Motors Corporation in the areas of finance, accounting, and strategic planning.
Mr. Frederick possesses an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Detroit and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
